    On Site Project Manager

     

    Job Title: 

    On Site Project Manager at Dundalk Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 2 Sludge Farm upgrade works.


    Project Description:

    To manage and co-ordinate the design, construction, commissioning, and handover activities associated with the on-site Mechanical, Electrical and Process upgrade works to the sludge farm at the Dundalk Wastewater Treatment facility.


    Minimum of 5 years' experience and suitable qualifications within the Wastewater Mechanical Engineering and or Wastewater Environmental Engineering disciplines.

    Specific experience associated with sludge treatment, dewatering, biogas and CHP systems would be preferred.


    Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

    The role requires the following duties to be performed:

          Management, supervision and co-ordination of a team of engineers, safety personnel and M&E installation personnel.

          Representing the projects interests at client meetings & participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings

         Management of the on-site PSDP & PSCS duties and responsibilities.

         Develop and encourage a culture of innovation and initiative to all matters HSQE. Embrace the fundamentals of Communication ---Co-ordination ---Co-operation and Collaboration

         Management of site Documentation: - Signage - Audits - Method Statements - Reports - Site sub-contractor documentation. A full time HSQE officer will be provided to support.

          Construction planning & scheduling

          Procurement and expediting of material & equipment

          Project cost review, reporting, updating and accounting

          Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment

          Project closeout including hand over of completed safety file

          Prepare progress reports and technical reports for clients and for internal use

         Timeline planning of all installations from awarding of contract to completion and handover of all documentation including planning and overseeing the commissioning & validation of the plant and mechanical systems

         Management of EPS performance against Contractual KPI's

          Management of Day to Day communications & documentation with the ER and site RE staff, by way of a positive and pro-active approach working in a team environment via excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

          Co-ordination & Preparation and completion of handover documentation, testing, commissioning and process proving documentation.

          Co-ordination of Environmental & Ecology requirements.

          Update works programmes on week and monthly as required. 


    Required Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong project planning and coordination skills
    • Good inter-personal and communication skills
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work effectively with site, workshop and office-based personnel
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions
    • Strong understanding of health, safety, environment and quality requirements
    • Ability to maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a project team environment


    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Experience in project management, engineering, construction or related industries desirable
    • Experience delivering water and wastewater treatment projects advantageous
    • Experience coordinating project teams, contractors, suppliers or site personnel beneficial
    • Knowledge of mechanical systems, product delivery and installation activities desirable
    • Experience with project documentation, quality systems and health & safety requirements advantageous
