About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will enable Google Cloud's capacity and scale by growing an exceptional manufacturing presence. You will achieve this by driving operational excellence, ensuring flexible capacity, and fostering strategic optionality across the Contract Manufacturer (CM) network through rigorous cross-functional management.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $111000 - $160000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefitsLearn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a site or region of contract manufacturing operations for Google's data center infrastructure hardware portfolio in relation to google cloud, storage, compute, machine learning, and network technology.
  • Manage cross-functional activities between contract manufacturers, NPI, engineering, supply chain, planning, quality and production.
  • Evaluate business risks and improve key performance indicators to enable flexible capacity for the customers needs.
  • Provide mentoring and feedback to CM management team based on KPI and field quality feedback.
  • Reduce complexity and improve communications between cross-functional teams and platforms by establishing key ownership and identifying role and responsibility gaps.

Build for everyone

Since our founding in 1998, Google has grown by leaps and bounds. These Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe.

It starts with how we work together. We’re building a company where people of different views, backgrounds and experiences can do their best work and show up for one another. A place where every Googler feels like they belong.
