Job Description. The Site Manager is a strategic and hands-on role for leading the daily operations of our Gallipolis, OH manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for production oversight, team leadership, supply chain coordination, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise, leadership presence, and a proactive mindset toward safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)HR & Labor Relations- Work directly with HR to manage recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training, development, and orientation programs for site team members.
- Work with HR and union stewards to manage employee relations, including performance, conducts, terminations, etc.
- Ensure compliance with labor contracts and act as first point of contact for grievances
- Oversee payroll processing for hourly staff
- Advise senior leadership on personnel issues and workforce planning
Production & Maintenance- Oversee all aspects of plant production to ensure efficient, high-quality output aligned with delivery and sales schedules
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to maximize uptime and equipment reliability
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating lean manufacturing and best practices.
- Manage production-related inventories, including packaging, spare parts, and materials
- Ensure outgoing products meet quality standards and customer specifications
- Plan & execute capital projects to improve plant efficiency and capacity
Operations & Workforce Management- Lead and supervise daily plant operations and production teams
- Assign and schedule daily work tasks; monitor and maintain productivity, workforce efficiency, and morale
- Promote teamwork and employee engagement through clear communication and leadership
- Enforce company safety, conduct, and operational policies
- Establish effective communication channels
Sales & Customer Support - Collaborate with Sales to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless order fulfilment
- Maintain accurate inventory records for finished goods and equipment, and coordinate delivery schedules
Financial Oversight- Develop and manage plant operating budgets, capital expenditures, and shipment forecasts in partnership with operational leadership team
- Oversee all site purchasing, including company purchasing cards, through PO's
- Request and manage capital project budgets for facility improvements
Reporting & Compliance - Prepare and maintain production, quality, safety, and maintenance reports (weekly, monthly, annually), as needed and requested
- Submit any necessary environmental and regulatory reports related to EPA, OSHA, etc.
- Ensure all records and logs are accurately maintained for compliance and audit purposes.
Environmental & Safety Management - Support compliance with environmental regulations and reporting requirements
- Address and remediate non-compliance issues in conjunction with safety and operational leadership
- Champion a safety-first culture across the plant
- Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and training sessions, ensuring all employees are prioritizing proper safety habits
Quality Assurance - Oversee quality control processes to meet company standards and customer expectations
- Maintain detailed quality records in partnership with our Quality & Engineering team

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 7 - 10 years progressive experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Aggregates processing experience required
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgets and purchasing
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance standards
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and ERP Systems, or the ability to quickly pick up new systems.
