    Description

    Laars Heating Systems is seeking a Site Leader for our Electro Industries facility in Monticello, MN who will be responsible for a broad array of functional areas including Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Fulfillment, Marketing, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Transportation and Distribution.  As a key member of the leadership team, the role is responsible for leading major strategic initiatives, recommending & implementing changes to grow the business.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Strategic Business and Customer Management

    • Making and executing strategic decisions and tactics that ensure we remain supplier of choice to our customers by instilling a culture of delivering a quality product on time, every time and superior customer service.
    • Developing supportive working relationships with Sales Managers, other General Managers, and leadership within the organization.

    P&L Ownership

    • Developing and administering budgets, controlling monthly P&L results, and formulating action plans to address variances and gaps.
    • Achieving annual profitability goals.

    Operational Development and Implementation

    • Developing and implementing an operational plan for the business that addresses: staff development issues, safety, operational excellence, quality improvement, financial performance, delivery, and quality of service.
    • Manufacturing focus and continuous improvement.  Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to achieve operational excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
    • Creating and driving a culture of learning, innovation, mentoring, coaching, succession planning, reward, recognition, respect, and professionalism.

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business required, master’s degree preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years of related experience

    Skills:

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
    • A proven skill set demonstrating effective communication, planning and organization, and sound judgement.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Experience in budget management and cost control within a manufacturing environment preferred.
