    Description

    Electrical Superintendent

    Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of electricians, distributing workload,

    providing technical support, and providing expertise on operational and maintenance programs for the electrical

    systems at the site. You will also assist the design and construction team providing operational and maintenance input

    and support for construction projects as needed. Critical aspects of the job include eliminating events that cause

    production interruptions.

    Technical Requirements:

    Experience with medium and low voltages including 11SkV main feeds, 45 MVA transformers stepping down to

    13.2kV, and 480V and 208V substation distribution systems.

    Experience with switchgear, AFD's, DVR's, UPS systems, emergency power systems, and power monitoring.

    Experience with SKM or equivalent software to provide Arc Flash evaluations, Power distribution system

    protection coordination, Short Circuit studies, Load Studies, Panel Schedule Updates, and determining how to

    shift loads.

    Management

    Set expectations of team members and manage their performance

    Conduct verbal and written performance feedback during individual meetings for continual development of

    your direct reports

    Coach and provide career development opportunities for direct reports

    Deliver performance appraisals

    Build effective teams and develop succession plans

    Communicate global and site strategic objectives with your team

    Ensure team members are properly trained according to department compliance and work requirements

    Prioritize work for the team and minimize overdue work orders

    Assist in development of the department budget and track spending activities

    Provide consultation to management on work schedules, budgets, labor requirements and technical issues

    Projects

    Work in a team effort with customers, engineers, operations personnel and construction disciplines to provide

    design input and review

    Implement safety in accordance with company safety guidelines

    Assure electrical installations meet all applicable codes and regulations

    Provide cost estimates and analysis of proposed projects

    Support

    Work with Global teams to provide best in class solutions on a worldwide basis

    Provide troubleshooting expertise to the Operations and Maintenance groups

    Determine root cause for electrical system failures

    Provide necessary support and resources to improvement efforts such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

    Create new procedures and maintain existing procedures related to assigned areas of responsibility

    Promote a safe and positive work environment by having a safety focus in all activities

    Provide support for start-up of new equipment, and ensuring all equipment will properly interface to other

    systems

    Communicate regularly with site engineering, operation and maintenance teams on project status and system

    performance

    Review electrical interruptions and provide recommendations to minimize the impact of critical electrical

    events

    Planning

    Participate in infrastructure planning to support the overall company strategy

    Identify and deploy cost reduction efforts while optimizing and reducing energy usage for electrical systems

    throughout the network

    Identify and develop training programs that support site efforts

    Functional Requirements:

    Successful candidates for this position will have:

    A minimum of 5 years' experience directly related to medium and low voltage systems (required)

    The ability to directly manage a team of employees and contractors (required)

    A strong knowledge of design practices and inter-related disciplines (preferred)

    A customer service approach and excellent communication skills (preferred)

    Fluent computer skills including spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and SKM (preferred)

    A high level of self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision (preferred)

    The ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently while prioritizing and scheduling workload (preferred)

    Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facility systems (suggested)

    $1000/week per diem #LI-TW1
