GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Site Coordinator oversees all aspects of the academic operations related to the WBU office and classrooms at the Schofield barracks and Tripler Army Education Centers EC and its officials. This position represents WBU when interacting with other anchor schools to provide smooth coordination of academic affairs for students and faculty.

SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES

• Provide academic advising and guide students to register and properly request military TA. • Plan and organize Education Fairs and marketing efforts for WBU and general education on the base bi-annual and as needed. • Attend and promote WBU at monthly New Arrival Orientations NAO. • Attend weekly Education Center EC meetings and take minutes in rotation. • Assure proper care and operation of Classroom equipment regularly. • Issue student-faculty-staff base passes each term. • Maintain proper running and functioning of site office and equipment. • Assist Base professors with class coordination office needs. • Act as liaison between EC staff and WBU. • Maintain collegial rapport with other EC anchor school reps

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Associates degree is required Bachelors Degree is preferred.

Experience and Knowledge Experience in higher education academic advising is preferred. Two 2 years of proven experience in an office setting is required

Work Environment

The work environment for this position is a standard office setting. Employees will work primarily at a desk or workstation utilizing standard office equipment such as computers phones and printers. The office maintains a controlled temperature. Noise levels are generally moderate with typical office sounds such as conversations and office machinery.

Hours of Work Plainview campus - Although full-time nonexempt Plainview employees are normally scheduled to work 37.75 hours per week the official work week for full-time salaried employees is forty 40 hours. External campuses - Although full-time nonexempt external campus employees are normally scheduled to work 37.75 hours per week the official work week for full-time salaried employees is forty 40 hours. Normal work days on all campuses are Monday through Friday

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance. If hired the prospective employee must present documentation within three 3 days of hire date to establish identity and employment eligibility as required by Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE. Employee must be able and willing to travel and provide recruitment assistance to external campuses. Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle have access to a dependable motor vehicle and possess a valid state drivers license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory drivers record.
