Site Civil Engineer (PE)

We are seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer (PE) to join a growing Site Development team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in civil/site development design, engineering calculations, construction documentation, and project management. This role requires proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D, knowledge of Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H), and the ability to lead design efforts while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and junior staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality civil engineering plans and solutions for a variety of private and public site development projects while maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Prepare private and public site work and civil engineering construction plans, reports, studies, and technical documentation.
Perform detailed civil engineering design, calculations, and analysis for site development projects.
Manage project deliverables, schedules, scopes, budgets, and support personnel.
Lead and oversee CAD Designers, junior engineers, and other project team members.
Coordinate and manage consultants involved in project design activities.
Review environmental, geotechnical, traffic, and other technical reports and incorporate applicable findings into project designs.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to understand project requirements and resolve design issues.
Attend project meetings and present design approaches, recommendations, and proposed solutions.
Provide construction administration support, including review of submittals, RFIs, and field/site visits.
Communicate directly with contractors and assist with field problem-solving during construction.
Apply and enforce QA/QC procedures throughout all phases of project development.
Coordinate with local jurisdictions regarding design criteria, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
Support business development activities and contribute to maintaining strong client relationships.
Perform other engineering and project-related duties as assigned.
