    Description

    The Site Civil Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Houston area. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs for site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater management systems. Daily activities include performing engineering calculations, developing construction drawings and specifications, coordinating with project managers and other disciplines, and supporting permitting with local and state agencies. The Site Civil Engineer conducts site visits, assists with construction administration and inspections, and helps ensure that projects meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. The role also contributes to planning studies, supports proposal development, and maintains clear communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
    Qualifications
    • Strong civil engineering foundation, including Civil Engineering and Civil Engineers experience applied to site development and infrastructure projects.
    • Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, with demonstrated ability to produce plans for grading, drainage, utilities, paving, and roadway improvements.
    • Experience in Planning for land development, transportation, and municipal projects, including coordination with governing agencies and adherence to local codes.
    • Knowledge of Stormwater Management, including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, detention and drainage design, and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; EIT certification required and PE licensure in Texas preferred or ability to obtain.
    • Hands-on experience with industry-standard design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS) and familiarity with TxDOT or municipal standards.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information clearly.
    • Ability to work safely on active project sites, perform occasional fieldwork, and maintain a professional, client-focused approach.
