Hays Consolidated Independent School District Department of Human Resources Job Title: SIS Clerk - Elementary/Middle School Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Director of Student Information Systems Pay Grade: PP02, 8h 204/230 days Dept./School: Student Information Systems Department Date Revised: March 2026 Primary Purpose: Under minimal supervision, provide district-based campus support for enrollment and withdrawals, student records management, elementary scheduling, grade processing, student data audits, and Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data entry and submission processing. The position provides campus-level support from central office. Qualifications: Minimum Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance Ability to meet established deadlines Experience Two years data entry experience preferred Previous school experience preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties: Records and Reporting
