    A day in this role

Picture your morning at a customer site: you review their Sinker EDM program, spot the inefficiencies, and map out a better process. By midday, you’re on the machine executing test cuts that prove out your recommendations. In the afternoon, you’re coaching operators on high-power processing techniques and creating a tailored training plan so their team can replicate the results on the production floor. You wrap up with a call to troubleshoot another customer’s application remotely and coordinate with fellow Applications Engineers on an upcoming demonstration to help secure new business for MC Machinery.

    What you’ll do

    • Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries; bring in the right MC Machinery resources when broader collaboration is needed.
    • Develop creative solutions and process strategies using sound application engineering judgment.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot EDM application challenges by phone when on-site support isn’t required.
    • Support sales growth by identifying opportunities, performing test cuts, and conducting product demonstrations for prospective customers.
    • Deliver and design high power processing training for customers (and, at times, MC Machinery colleagues) to optimize machine usage for specific production needs.
    • Document and communicate strategies, results, and recommendations clearly in writing and in person.

    What you bring

    • Proven independence in diagnosing customer problems and driving solutions without close supervision.
    • Customer-facing poise that builds confidence in MC Machinery solutions.

    • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM and CNC programming skills.
    • Proficiency with Windows-based systems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong documentation habits.
