Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in simulation education.
• Strong knowledge of clinical skills training, including the use of standardized patients and nursing simulation technology in a clinical education setting.
• Ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with a diverse range of individuals, including physicians, faculty, students, patients, standardized patients, and the general public.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, along with strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Capable of effectively conveying information to others.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in clinical and patient care settings.
• Developed and implemented clinical skills training curricula.
• Experience in creating and executing standardized patient exercises for training and assessment.
• Experience interacting with students in a post-secondary educational environment.
• Possesses knowledge of specific terminology related to the unit and program area.
• Experience in developing and implementing simulation activities, as well as in selecting and maintaining simulation equipment and learning management software.

Position Details Position Purpose

Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing Laboratories, the Simulation Manager will provide comprehensive operational, technical, and instructional support for the School of Nursing's simulation program. This role is responsible for the coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of simulation-based learning activities to ensure consistent, high-quality experiential education aligned with curricular goals. As the simulation program expands in scope, volume, and interdisciplinary use, the Simulation Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting faculty, students, and institutional priorities by managing daily operations, simulation technology, and assessment processes
