Job Summary
Develop and integrate sensor and actuator plant models for automotive virtual engineering, supporting vehicle and propulsion simulation environments.
Responsibilities
- Read electrical drawings and understand sensor/actuator circuit diagnostics.
- Develop plant-model architectures in Simulink or appropriate virtual tools.
- Establish model interfaces for VHiL, HIL, SIL, and co-simulation.
- Define and execute model test cases.
- Collect device data to characterize performance and diagnostic behavior.
- Manage model enhancements, release notes, testing, and technical support.
- Coordinate virtualization requirements with suppliers, hardware, controls, and diagnostics teams.
- Incorporate calibration differences and balance model requirements across vehicle and propulsion domains.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience with Simulink, electrical drawings, and controller interfaces.
- Familiarity with DOORS, ICD/CTS/CTR requirements, and S-function/FMU integration.
- Knowledge of LIN, SPI, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Experience with GMSim/dSPACE and relevant modeling tools.
- Preferred: master's degree, propulsion knowledge, HWIO, H-bridge/PWM, SENT, version control, Teamcenter/RTC, and ETAS INCA.
