- Experience working with DC components, wiring, and mounting equipment
- AC wiring experience is a plus
- Experience stripping, crimping, terminating, and routing wires
- Familiarity with railroad signaling and wiring preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and wiring issues
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, fasteners, and measuring devices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to neat, consistent wiring practices
- Computer skills and electrical testing experience are a plus
- Understanding of basic electrical and electronic concepts is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen
Signal Wiring Technician Responsibilities
- Assemble, wire, and install signal and electrical components according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Route, terminate, and secure wiring while maintaining quality standards
- Install mounting equipment, electrical components, and wiring assemblies
- Use measuring tools and testing equipment to verify accuracy and functionality
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits and wiring issues as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Complete multiple production and assembly tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Consistently meet quality and production expectations
Work EnvironmentThe Signal Wiring Technician works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and fumes. Employees may be required to push, pull, kneel, reach overhead, grasp materials, and lift up to 50 pounds.
