Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Signal Integrity Engineer with willingness to travel up to 30% in the US, to join an organization within the electrical and electronic interconnect manufacturing industry with up to 30% travel in the U.S. The Signal Integrity Engineer will be a hands-on technical leader focused on system-level SerDes bring-up for cable and backplane designs, combining deep technical expertise with team leadership and global factory engagement.

Responsibilities of the Signal Integrity Engineer:

  • Drive high-speed electrical validation efforts, including signal integrity analysis, S-parameter characterization, BERT testing, TDR, and VNA evaluations.
  • Create, execute, and document engineering and design validation test plans to ensure product performance and compliance.
  • Partner closely with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and customer teams to resolve performance issues and support product releases.
  • Design and enhance high‑speed test platforms and methodologies aligned with future product and technology roadmaps.
  • Investigate test failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to improve overall signal integrity performance.

Qualifications of the Signal Integrity Engineer:

  • Bachelor''s in electrical engineering; Masters preferred.
  • 8-10 years of signal integrity engineering experience with system-level SerDes bring-up.
  • Strong background in Signal Integrity Engineering, electromagnetic simulations, and S-parameters.
  • Experience with high-speed cables, backplanes, or interconnect systems.
  • Proficiency with SI simulation and measurement tools (IBIS-AMI, HFSS/CST, TDR, VNA, BERT).

Compensation for the Signal Integrity Engineer includes:

  • Salary range: $165,000 - $195,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, sick leave if required by law, and holidays
