This role owns the full lifecycle of signage programs — from initial takeoff and vendor selection through fabrication, permitting, and installation — for a portfolio of high-end retail clients. This position works directly with the Installation Manager to ensure seamless handoff and execution in the field. This is a fast-paced role managing multiple concurrent projects at once, requiring exceptional multi-tasking skills and an unwavering attention to detail. The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills, deep fluency in signage production methods, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent rollouts across markets with minimal oversight. This position will work closely with the Leadership team to strategize and develop long-term plans that allow Mowax to reach new levels of productivity and success.

Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end project management for signage programs, from initial scoping through production, permitting, delivery, and installation
- \n
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, providing strong customer service on project requirements and change orders throughout job implementation
- \n
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and material quantity estimates across multiple concurrent locations and rollouts
- \n
- Coordinate and manage the subcontractor and overseas production network, including bidding, scheduling, and quality control
- \n
- Provide on-site management and oversight for complex installations, including channel letter, halo-lit, fiber optic, LED, vinyl, and SEG signage
- \n
- Partner closely with the Installation Manager to plan field logistics, sequence work, and resolve on-site issues quickly
- \n
- Manage the full range of exterior and interior signage, both illuminated and non-illuminated, across all project types
- \n
- Work alongside draftsmen to develop and review technical drawings, ensuring designs are accurate, buildable, and code-compliant
- \n
- Coordinate with landlords, general contractors, city/AHJ officials, and vendors, and manage the permitting process for each jurisdiction
- \n
- Work with permit expeditors and perform code checks to ensure sign designs meet local zoning, building, and electrical code requirements
- \n
- Proactively identify changing customer needs and site conditions so the company can respond quickly and minimize field issues
- \n
- Effectively communicate and follow up with end clients, landlords, contractors, and production personnel to keep projects on schedule
- \n
- Responsible for expanding and managing the vendor base, including sourcing, vetting, and compliance
- \n
- Streamline purchasing and procurement processes to improve lead times and cost control
- \n
- Attend relevant trade shows and industry events, and present new vendors, materials, and production innovations to the team
- \n
- Mentor and support junior project managers on active projects and installations
- \n
- Identify and manage project risk, escalating and resolving issues before they impact schedule or budget

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Minimum 5 years of experience in signage project management; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- \n
- Proven experience managing multi-site signage rollouts for national or high-end retail brands
- \n
- Strong working knowledge of signage production methods, including channel letters, halo-lit, fiber optics, LED, vinyl, and large-format printing
- \n
- Experience with exterior and interior signage, both illuminated and non-illuminated, required
- \n
- Experience working alongside draftsmen to produce and review technical drawings required
- \n
- Experience managing subcontractors and overseas production partners preferred
- \n
- Experience working with permit expeditors and performing code checks across multiple jurisdictions required
- \n
- Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills required
- \n
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator; working knowledge of InDesign preferred
- \n
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; experience with project management platforms (e.g. Monday.com) a plus
- \n
- Must be highly detail-oriented and an effective multi-tasker, able to work within schedules and prioritize across multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment
- \n
- Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while juggling several active projects simultaneously
- \n
- Demonstrates agility when facing changing workflows and processes, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders

- Experience in the retail industry, specifically in visual retail rollouts, visual merchandising, store design/construction, or fixture development, strongly preferred
- \n
- Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- \n
- Ability to travel to job sites and trade shows as needed
