ASL Interpreter 1:1 Student Support - Elementary Harmony Science Academy Georgetown is seeking an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide dedicated 1:1 communication support for a 3rd-grade student throughout the school day. Responsibilities: Provide ASL interpretation and communication support for the assigned student throughout the school day. Interpret classroom instruction, teacher directions, peer interactions, and other school-related communication. Support the student s full participation in classroom activities, specials, transitions, and other educational settings. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the student s educational team. Maintain appropriate student confidentiality and professional boundaries. Help promote student independence, inclusion, and access to the educational environment. Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL). Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred. Experience providing 1:1 interpreting support is a plus. Must meet applicable Texas requirements for educational interpreters. Reliable and able to commit to the full school-day schedule through the end of the assignment.
