    Students Supported: Four Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) students
    Position Overview
    We are seeking a CDE-authorized Interpreter for an ongoing assignment supporting four Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in a 3rd-grade classroom at Lansing Elementary. The interpreter will provide consistent interpreting support throughout the school day in accordance with the students' IEP requirements.
    This is a unique opportunity that includes a transportation component at the beginning and, on certain days, the end of the school day.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide professional interpreting services for four DHH students within a 3rd-grade classroom.
    • Meet the designated student at their home at 7:00 AM.
    • Ride the school bus with the student from their home to Lansing Elementary.
    • Provide interpreting support throughout the instructional school day.
    • On days when the student does not attend the after-school program, ride the school bus with the student to their home at approximately 2:30 PM.
    • Maintain professional communication and collaboration with teachers, school staff, and other members of the educational team.
    • Follow all applicable school policies, IEP requirements, and professional standards for interpreting services.
    Transportation Details
    • The interpreter will leave their personal vehicle at the student's home when accompanying the student to school.
    • If required to ride the student home after school, the interpreter may use Uber to return to the student's home and retrieve their vehicle.
    • Approved Uber expenses may be submitted through the agency for reimbursement.
    Requirements
    • CDE authorization/certification as an Interpreter required.
    • Experience providing interpreting services in a K 12 educational setting preferred.
    • Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred.
    • Ability to work consistently within the 7:00 AM 3:15 PM schedule.
    • Comfortable accompanying students on school transportation.
    • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a school-based educational team.
