Shuttle Driver - Part Time

You will assist arriving and departing guests with baggage handling, valet parking cars, driving hotel shuttle van, greeting and escorting guests to and from their hotel rooms, promoting the hotel outlets, delivering guest packages and requests, as well as informing guests of area attractions and hotel amenities. POSITION PURPOSEFirst impressions are everything! The Van driver/Bellman is responsible for providing a delightful experience for arrivals/departures and any guest assistance. You will assist arriving and departing guests with baggage handling, valet parking cars, driving hotel shuttle van, greeting and escorting guests to and from their hotel rooms, promoting the hotel outlets, delivering guest packages and requests, as well as informing guests of area attractions and hotel amenities. Ideal candidate can operate a manual shift vehicle.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSGreet and escort guests to and from their hotel roomsPromote hotel features, such as restaurants, pool, etc.Work is performed indoors and outdoorsTransport luggage to/from vehicles and guest roomsMust hold a valid driver's licenseRequires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs.Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards, namely in public areas to include the lobby, bell carts, and glass on doors/windowsPerform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and keeping the public areas free of trash and debrisExecute special guest requests as neededMaintain mileage logbook and other required paperworkReport problems to maintenanceSPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.Must have a valid drivers license.Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical DemandsMust be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to drive and operate a 12-passenger shuttle van.Must be able to exert well-paced ability to work in a busy environment. Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 75 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis and occasionally lift to 100 lbs. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
