    General Purpose of Job:

    The Senior Financial Analyst serves as the primary finance business partner for operational leaders across key service lines within the Health System. This role delivers strategic financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights that support data-driven decision-making, optimize operational and financial performance, and ensure achievement of organizational goals. The Senior Financial Analyst collaborates with executive and operational leadership to identify opportunities, evaluate strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through financial stewardship and actionable analytics.

    Essential Duties:

    • Builds strong partnerships with operational leaders by delivering clear financial insights and actionable data that support strategic, data-driven decision-making.
    • Leads monthly operational review meetings to evaluate financial performance, address key challenges, and align leadership on strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
    • Develops and manages annual operating budgets for assigned departments and service lines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial targets.
    • Creates comprehensive financial proformas, business cases, and analytical models to evaluate emerging projects, service line expansions, and strategic initiatives.
    • Independently identifies, analyzes, and investigates opportunities to improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.
    • Monitors and analyzes productivity metrics for assigned service lines, providing recommendations to optimize performance and resource utilization.
    • Prepares and submits required annual regulatory and industry surveys, including Certificate of Need (CON), American Hospital Association (AHA), and Community Benefit reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Designs and implements innovative financial reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics that enhance operational excellence and support informed executive decision-making.

    Job Requirements

    General Requirements None Work Experience • Minimum of six years of experience in financial analysis or related business roles, with demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis. • Previous financial analyst experience in healthcare setting preferred Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business degree Specialized Knowledge and Skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including complex financial modeling, data analysis, and executive-level presentations. • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and exercise sound judgment in complex business situations. • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and organizational information. • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, data integrity, and quality assurance. • Self-motivated, proactive professional who takes initiative to identify issues, develop solutions, and contribute as a collaborative team member. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for operational and executive leadership.
