JOB SUMMARY

Purpose:

To work every day in a way that actively supports and accomplishes the Values, Mission and Vision of Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc.

Reports To:

SBP Lead/SBP Level 3

Objective:

To efficiently and accurately blast and paint high pressure and acetylene cylinders.

Who: Re-qualifiers, Hydro, Warehouse/New Cylinders, Pack Shop, Acetylene, Trailer Gas, LPG, High Pressure Fill, Western's External Customers

Essential Functions

Responsibilities:

• To know, understand and accurately follow all applicable SOP's.
• Meet all applicable efficiency requirements
• Correctly identify the various sizes and types of cylinders, valves, and gas services
• Ensure all stamped markings on the cylinder are legible
• Ensure that the gas service and customer acronyms are marked on all cylinders
• Ensure the proper valve is inserted correctly
• Efficiently move cylinders to the proper area, including palletizing or nesting as directed
• Ensure that hanging caps are properly placed on all cylinders moving to the paint line
• Hang cylinders on the line if they require paint service under the direction of the SBP Level 3
• Safely remove cylinders from the paint line
• Any other duties assigned
• Specific Requirements (training, education, certification)
• Ability to roll two cylinders at a time
• Ability to identify DOT cylinder specifications including cylinders that require special permits or exemptions
• Good communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 100 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Near far depth perception and peripheral vision are commonly used

• Manual dexterity, motor coordination, and physical stamina are critical elements of the job
