Shop Technician

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel, gas, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
• Complete DOT annual inspections and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate repair records and work orders.
• Keep shop equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and Suntec's employee-owner (ESOP) culture.
• Valid CDL-A license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes.
• Ability to use diagnostic and computerized repair equipment.
• Basic computer skills.Strong communication and teamwork skills.

The Shop Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Suntec Concrete's fleet of on-road and off-road vehicles, heavy equipment, and related components. This position requires extensive knowledge of diesel, gas, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, air brake, and mechanical systems. The Shop Technician will use diagnostic tools, schematics, and failure analysis techniques to identify root causes and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
