Shop Technician Internship

Internship Overview 

As a Shop Technician Intern at Summit Agricultural Group, you will gain knowledge and work experience in a large-scale farming operation, with specific responsibilities pertaining to preventative maintenance and service needs. The position will be based at our Alden, Iowa headquarters. 

Responsibilities 

• Assist in performing maintenance and repairs on Summit equipment. This may include but not limited to the following:
  • On-road passenger vehicles and tractors
    • Tire repairs and replacement
    • Detailing
    • Oil Changes
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical issues.
• Various metal fabrication duties with preferred welding experience.
• Assist with special projects and minor construction.
• Opportunities to cross train in other operational departments.
• Ability to operate equipment such as but not limited to tractors, grain carts, skid loaders, forklift and field cultivators, as needed.
• Deliver final presentation to Summit's management team.
