Shop Supervisor

We are currently seeking experienced leaders in fabrication to fill a Shop Supervisor position in Macedonia, Ohio. We're searching for candidates who are ready to take charge and motivate a skilled team in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Join a local custom manufacturer of power distribution equipment where you will lead a small team of craftsmen, ensuring production meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to oversee daily operations, interpret blueprints, and support shop growth while maintaining a safe work environment.

Hours:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Up to 60 hours per week

• Monday through Saturday (possible)

Pay:

• $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on supervision, leadership, and development on the shop floor

• Read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication work

• Remain hands-on in fabrication, welding, and assembly

• Operate equipment such as shears, drill presses, cut-off saws, and various hand tools

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures

• Oversee training, discipline, and evaluation of shop employees

• Build and support a positive, motivated team environment

• Support owner’s vision for shop growth and development

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of fabrication and supervisory experience

• High school diploma or GED (technical training or degree preferred)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge and ability to run and operate equipment such as shears, drill presses, cut-off saws, and hand tools

• Proficient in reading/interpreting blueprints and performing shop math

• Dependable, punctual, and open to instruction

• Willingness to learn and grow within the company

• Ability to work a 50-60 hour work week, with possible Saturdays

Nice to Have Skills:

• MIG welding experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED; technical training like welding certifications is a plus
