    Job Summary

    We are looking for an experienced Shop Pump Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This role will focus on installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial pumps and rotating equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe work practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Inspect, repair, and maintain industrial pumps and mechanical equipment
    • Troubleshoot leaks, vibration, noise, and pump performance issues
    • Disassemble and rebuild pumps, motors, seals, bearings, shafts, and related components
    • Perform pump alignment and coupling installation
    • Replace seals, bearings, gaskets, packing, and worn components
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment
    • Install and remove pumps, valves, piping, and related equipment
    • Read mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications
    • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
    • Document maintenance and repair work
    • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
    • Maintain a clean work area and help reduce equipment downtime

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience as a Pump Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Millwright, Mechanical Technician, or similar
    • Experience with centrifugal or positive displacement pumps preferred
    • Knowledge of seals, bearings, couplings, shafts, and rotating equipment
    • Experience with pump alignment and mechanical troubleshooting
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
    • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
    • Ability to perform physical maintenance work in industrial environments
    • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow PPE requirements
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
