Penmac Staffing is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic for a full-time opportunity with a local transportation company. This position is ideal for a self-motivated diesel mechanic who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently. - Diesel mechanic experience required
- Must have more than basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities
- Must provide some of your own tools, including:
- Wrenches
- Sockets
- Air tools
- Additional mechanic hand tools
- CDL Class A license preferred
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Responsibilities
- Change and repair semi-truck tires
- Perform oil changes and routine preventative maintenance
- Repair and replace vehicle lights as needed
- Assist with diesel truck maintenance and minor repairs
- Wash trucks and help maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
- Inspect equipment and identify maintenance needs
- Assist with other shop duties as assigned
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour/ DOE
