Position OverviewPeople Source OKC is hiring a Shop Mechanic for a dirt excavation company located in SW Oklahoma City. This position is ideal for an experienced mechanic with a background working on fleet vehicles, service trucks, and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, mechanically inclined, and capable of performing maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and excavation machinery
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment failures
- Service fleet vehicles and company service trucks
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
- Repair and replace mechanical components as needed
- Maintain service records and repair documentation
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
Requirements- Previous mechanic experience required
- Experience working on heavy equipment preferred
- Experience servicing fleet vehicles and service trucks preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Additional Information- Opportunity to become a permanent employee after 90 days
- Overtime opportunities may be available on Saturdays
