Description
Build and run a new bowl & smoothie shop in Houston Heights.
Palmetto Superfoods is opening in Houston Heights at 718 W 18th St. We’re hiring a full-time, on-site Shop Manager (Store Manager / cafe GM) to launch the location, hire and train the team, and own day-to-day operations from day one.
This is a hands-on role: you’ll be on the floor, opening and closing, and building a 10–12 person team—not a desk job at a corporate HQ.
Pay & schedule:
- $24+/hour DOE, paid biweekly.
- Full-time, ~40 hours/week.
- Overtime when applicable.
- Opening/closing and weekend availability required.
What you’ll do:
- Gym reimbursement up to $40/month.
- Company-paid/reimbursed food-handler training.
- Hands-on training in Austin with travel expenses covered.
- Referral program.
What you need (must-haves):
- 2+ years leading a small team in food, cafe, retail, or similar hospitality.
- Comfort owning scheduling, inventory, and shop costs.
- Availability for openings, closings, and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet.
- Texas Food Manager certification, or willingness to get it (we’ll support).
Nice to have (not required)
- Experience opening a new location or building a team from scratch.
- Existing Texas Food Manager certification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
