Summary:
Shop Managers assist in F&B's success in both the office and the field. Shop Managers will be responsible for supervising and scheduling all yard activities, ordering materials, issuing purchase order numbers, inventory, reconciling invoices, and ensuring quality and safety requirements are being met. The descriptions below are representative of, but are not limited to, the duties and responsibilities for this position.
Five Key Roles of the Shop Manager:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Instruct yard team members on the processes, policies, and procedures that are essential to the success of the department.
Working closely with office & field supervision on upcoming project needs and schedules.
Participating in Level 10 meetings with local office staff.
Solving problems, as they arise, by using available knowledge and resources.
Perform accurate yard/shop Inventory Control:
Job cost outbound inventory on a daily basis utilizing inventory software program.
Record inbound inventory same day materials are received at shop/yard utilizing inventory software program.
Complete monthly inventory audit by 5th of month following (February inventory audit done by March 5th) utilizing inventory software program.
Communicating and upholding the Company's commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics, as well as ensuring the same for the entire team.
Ensure Company tools and equipment are properly maintained and repaired.
Record owned and sublet equipment repairs into Tenna for total cost of ownership and forecasting.
Communicating and prioritizing the scheduling of incoming maintenance and repairs with the Shop team and Equipment Director.
Communicate and discuss the condition of the fleet with the Equipment Director.
Assist and support Fleet Telematics Specialist as needed with installation and maintenance of Tenna equipment.
Manage small tool distribution; Accountably and roll out of Tenna QR Tags on small tools.
Communicating and upholding the Company's commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics, as well as ensuring the same for the entire team.
Other relevant tasks as assigned.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
Travel:
Travel is required for this position. Travel may include, but is not limited to, travel from the office to various job sites. Fessler and Bowman will compensate for travel when applicable.
Work Environment:
As Shop Manager, you will be subject to various work environments. Environments include but are not limited to the following: office and field settings, high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, indoor/outdoor settings.
