Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Shop Helper to provide additional production support during the busy summer months. This temporary position works across multiple departments, including Fabrication, Assembly, and Paint/Blast, assisting with material handling, production preparation, general labor, and shop organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking candidate who wants hands-on manufacturing experience and exposure to several different areas of an industrial production facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist employees across Fabrication, Assembly, and Paint/Blast departments
Perform general labor and production support duties
Move materials, parts, tools, and equipment throughout the facility
Stage materials and components for upcoming production jobs
Assist with loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials
Support basic production and preparation activities under supervision
Organize tools, equipment, materials, and production areas
Perform routine shop cleanup, including sweeping and trash removal
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the facility
Follow all company safety procedures and properly wear required PPE
Perform additional shop and production duties as assigned
Painting & Facility Projects
The Shop Helper may also complete basic non-production painting and facility improvement projects using brushes and rollers, including:
Safety line markings
Designated safety zones
Fire extinguisher identification areas
Safety equipment identification areas
Other facility marking and organization projects as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and general physical activity
Ability to climb ladders when required
Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to safely work around active manufacturing and production equipment
Must meet applicable vision requirements, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Ability to safely perform assigned duties while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Active industrial manufacturing and production facility
Exposure to Fabrication, Assembly, Paint/Blast, and general shop operations
Frequent movement between departments based on production needs
Hands-on work involving materials, tools, equipment, and facility maintenance projects
Safety-focused environment requiring awareness around machinery and active production areas
