Shop Helper / Entry-Level Automotive Technician

Spiteri's Complete Auto Service is looking for a motivated, dependable Shop Helper who wants to learn how a professional automotive repair shop operates. No professional shop experience is required. We are looking for a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
If you've worked on your own vehicles, attended an automotive program, or simply have a passion for cars, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Help open and/or close the shop each day
- Organize items and supplies technicians need every day
- Assist our technicians with vehicle repairs
- Mount and balance tires
- Help clean, tidy, and keep the shop organized
- Keep inventory of equipment
- Learn proper repair procedures and shop operations
- Use a tablet to complete inspections and notes
- Gain hands-on experience from experienced technicians
- Work part-time as a shuttle driver for customers and staff

- Valid CA driver's license with a clean driving record (DMV printout is a plus)
- Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful, but not required
Schedule
Monday through Friday6:30 AM – 3:15 PM Overtime available on busy days.
No weekends! Enjoy your evenings and weekends with family and friends.

Full Service Auto Repair, Maintenance, Tire Sales & Service
Spiteri’s Auto Service not only provides full-service auto repair but also tire service and sales. With decades of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, we understand customer service is of the utmost importance, just as much as dependable repairs. We help ensure our customers receive the repair service needed at a reasonable price, and inform them of maintenance needed. This, in turn, allows them to make educated and well-informed decisions while working within one’s budget. We explain how our Shop can extend the life and performance of the vehicle. Timely maintenance and repairs are necessary to avoid unexpected breakdowns and expensive repairs. Providing dealership quality auto repair, maintenance, tire sales and service is what we do best. Today we have approximately 12 employees. We have 4 Service Writers to help customers at drop-off and pick-up, with estimates and explanations; 8 technicians, a Tire Installer, a driver to shuttle customers to and from the shop and an assistant in the office.
Spiteri’s cares about our customers. We provide estimates to our customers after complete and detailed inspections of their cars. We are honest with our recommendations and can prioritize the needs if necessary when costs exceed budget.We are proud to have one of the cleanest auto repair shops in the county; striving to keep the building clean, painted and maintained. There is a separate waiting area for our customers; who can wait comfortably for their vehicles while reading, watching TV, using our wireless internet and having a cup of coffee. There is even a small kiddie table with activities to keep the little ones busy when you bring them along. Fur babies are welcome!
