Position Overview:American Millworks is seeking dependable shop helpers to support our production team in a fast-paced, high-end millwork environment. This role is critical to keeping the shop running efficiently and maintaining the quality standards our projects require.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist craftsmen with material handling, assembly support, and general shop tasks
- Move and stage materials throughout the shop safely and efficiently
- Help with packaging and preparing millwork for delivery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support cutting, sanding, and prep work as directed
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries
Qualifications:
- Prior shop, warehouse, or construction experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and be on your feet throughout the day
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Attention to detail and respect for quality craftsmanship
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience in a millwork or cabinet shop
- Familiarity with basic tools and equipment
- Forklift experience
