Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shop Helper / Shop Hand for 3rd shift to assist our Plant Manager with daily shop floor operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Tasks will vary daily, requiring flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Ability to Commute:
Troy, MI 48084 (Required)
Work Location: In person
Pay: $20-$24 / hr + $1.50 shift premium
- Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident
- Background check is required
Responsibilities:
- Part Handling: Rack and un-rack parts to ensure proper handling during the plating process.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in cleaning and maintaining shop equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Light Manufacturing: Perform basic manufacturing tasks, including assembly and preparation of materials as directed.
- Facility Support: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor and workstations.
- Errands: Run shop-related errands, such as picking up supplies or delivering parts, as needed.
- Task Execution: Support the Plant Manager in executing various projects and assignments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
