Shop Foreman – Earn up to $1,965 plus OT weekly

Savard Personnel Group is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead fabrication and welding operations for a respected oil & gas fabrication company near Opelousas, LA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience managing fabrication shop personnel, production schedules, and quality standards.
Pay
  • Starting at $30.00/hour DOE (higher pay may be considered for highly qualified candidates)
  • Weekly pay
  • Temp-to-hire opportunity
Schedule
  • Monday – Friday
  • 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Hours may vary depending on workload
  • Some weekends may be required
Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of fabrication shop personnel.
  • Lead and support welders, fitters, and shop employees to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Review fabrication drawings, blueprints, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Assign work based on employee skills, production priorities, and project schedules.
  • Monitor fabrication and welding operations to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Inspect work throughout the fabrication process and address quality concerns as needed.
  • Maintain production workflow and communicate project status with management.
  • Enforce company safety policies, housekeeping standards, and PPE requirements.
  • Mentor and train employees to improve productivity and workmanship.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Shop Foreman or Fabrication Supervisor required.
  • Previous experience supervising welders and fabrication personnel.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes and welding procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and WPS.
  • Experience managing production schedules and shop workflow.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Oil & gas fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing experience preferred.
