    Why Steel Tool & Engineering?

    • We build precision aerospace components in an AS9100-certified, NADCAP-accredited environment.
    • Our teams take pride in quality, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement.

    What you’ll do

    • Own the daily plan: review schedules, staffing levels, machine status, materials, and tooling.
    • Kick off with a sharp huddle—safety reminders, targets, quality expectations, and known risks.
    • Place operators at the right stations; set priorities and verify standard work.
    • Walk the floor to monitor output, scrap, downtime, and quality throughout the day.
    • Provide on-the-spot coaching and training; lend hands-on support as needed.
    • Fix minor issues immediately (5S, documentation, non-critical quality/equipment items).
    • Escalate critical events fast: safety risks, customer-impacting defects, equipment failures, environmental concerns.
    • Communicate clearly with Quality, Maintenance, and Supervisors.
    • Protect the team: enforce PPE, safety rules, and company policies without exception.
    • Close the loop: compare results to targets; document downtime, quality, and safety concerns; brief the next shift/supervisor.
    • Improve daily: identify at least one opportunity per shift and support Kaizen, A3s, and SMART goals via our 3‑Step Daily Leadership Process.
