Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping and logistics operations within a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment in Oklahoma City. This is a hands-on leadership position that works directly alongside the shipping team while ensuring outgoing shipments are accurate, properly documented, and completed on schedule.

The ideal candidate has extensive shipping and logistics experience, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of domestic and international freight, parcel shipping, Bills of Lading, and export documentation.




Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience required
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures
• Experience coordinating parcel, LTL, truckload, and freight shipments
• Experience preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation
• Proficiency with FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip
• Knowledge of export documentation and customs requirements
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Excellent computer and data-entry skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified




Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping, packaging, warehouse, and logistics activities
• Work alongside shipping personnel to complete daily shipping functions
• Generate FedEx and UPS shipping labels and related documentation
• Prepare Bills of Lading and other required freight documents
• Coordinate LTL, truckload, parcel, and international freight shipments
• Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy before release
• Ensure shipments are prepared and completed according to established schedules
• Coordinate with freight carriers, customs brokers, vendors, and customers as needed
• Assist with export documentation and customs requirements for international shipments
• Prioritize multiple shipments, projects, and deadlines throughout the workday
• Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment as needed
• Support the shipping team with packaging, material handling, and other hands-on duties
• Ensure employees follow company safety procedures and established shipping practices




Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
• Previous international logistics experience
• Experience with Visual Manufacturing software
• Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in shipping and logistics




Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on warehouse and shipping duties




Work Environment

• Manufacturing and industrial warehouse environment
• Fast-paced shipping operation involving parcel, LTL, truckload, and international freight
• Regular interaction with carriers, vendors, customers, customs brokers, and internal production teams
• Hands-on leadership position requiring strong organization, communication, and attention to detail
