Description
Supervises and leads subordinates (1st & 2nd shipping/receiving team members, etc.)
Establishes shipping/receiving team member schedules to cover business needs.
Monitors and approves shipping/receiving team member daily time punches.
Ships and receives all product and materials accurately as required.
Updates status of inbound and outbound orders in ERP system.
Uses software to track, check, prioritize and ship orders.
Manages all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, etc.
Audits Red Zone entries for accuracy and FSQA audit requirements.
Directs the flow of shipping packages from preparation to shipment. Inbound goods to dry storage and parcel shipments to proper destinations.
Inspects labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders.
Controls labor budget of the shipping/receiving department.
Collaborates with logistics, operations & sales, and other managers/supervisors to optimize processes.
Resolves issues regarding shipped orders.
Partners with QC department on processing RMA's.
Manages recyclable program and inbound/outbound pallet processing.
Ensures compliance to legal regulations and company policies.
Reports to management on activities and issues.
Documents best practice.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
