Shipping/Receiving Manager

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced steel/material fabrication environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely movement of materials while maintaining safety, organization, and efficiency across all shipping and receiving functions.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely movement of materials while maintaining safety, organization, and efficiency across all shipping and receiving functions. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all shipping and receiving operations
• Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing freight
• Prepare and manage Bills of Lading (BOL) and shipping documentation
• Maintain accurate inventory records and material tracking
• Coordinate shipping schedules and prioritize daily workflow
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse personnel
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of shipping & receiving experience (manufacturing or fabrication preferred)
• Experience working with steel or heavy materials is a plus
• Forklift experience (certification preferred)
• Knowledge of freight documentation and logistics processes
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily operations

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in a non-climate controlled environment
