Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced steel/material fabrication environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely movement of materials while maintaining safety, organization, and efficiency across all shipping and receiving functions. Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage all shipping and receiving operations
- Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing freight
- Prepare and manage Bills of Lading (BOL) and shipping documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory records and material tracking
- Coordinate shipping schedules and prioritize daily workflow
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse personnel
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications:- 3+ years of shipping & receiving experience (manufacturing or fabrication preferred)
- Experience working with steel or heavy materials is a plus
- Forklift experience (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of freight documentation and logistics processes
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily operations
Physical Requirements:- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a non-climate controlled environment
