Shipping / Receiving Associate
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Pay Rate: $21.63 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Overview:
Partners Personnel is excited to partner with a reputable client in Indianapolis to find a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping / Receiving Associate. In this key role, you'll help keep materials moving seamlessly by managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, meticulously verifying items against packing slips and purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report any issues promptly to avoid disruptions.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging, labeling, and staging items for timely dispatch.
- Enter shipping and receiving data accurately into inventory or ERP systems to maintain flawless records.
- Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move goods efficiently.
- Maintain organized and tidy storage areas to ensure smooth material flow throughout the facility.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to meet manufacturing and delivery schedules.
- Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Keep the shipping/receiving area clean, orderly, and aligned with company standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving or similar warehouse positions.
- Comfortable operating material handling equipment and using inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to quality procedures.
