JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for shipping/receiving small packages, purchased goods, and LTL shipments. Movement of all goods and materials within all departments at Douglas Finishing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

- Receive freight
- Unload freight
- Forward all packing slips to Shipping/Receiving coordinator II for matching with purchase order.
- Tag and store all incoming goods.
- Keep warehouse and storage areas neat and clean
- Deliver goods, parts, chemicals, etc. to appropriate departments in finishing.
- Movement of parts between Douglas Finishing and Main Plant
- Remove, wrap and prepare all finished goods from shop floor for shipment
- Package all shipments appropriately in a secure and sturdy manner.
- Prepare daily small packages for pickup.
- Operate forklift to move incoming freight
- Keep outdoor areas free of screws/nails using magnet for forklift
- Certified for Hazardous Materials in Transportation
- In depth understanding of handling and storage of hazardous materials - Director Level
- In depth understanding of transporting and storage of hazardous chemicals
- Close down shipping at the end of each day, leave instructions with 2nd shift Anodize lead for any shipments not picked up prior to 5:00.
- 5S team member.
- Is capable of working with other employees in a service environment.
- Responsible for complying with all safety policies and procedures.
- Any other duties that are identified by the department supervisor as appropriate for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Possess Forklift truck certification or has the ability to obtain forklift truck certification.
- Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Must represent Douglas Finishing in a professional manner at all times.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
The mental and physical ability to learn and perform the above list of duties and responsibilities and/or demonstrated prior work experience. Possesses or is able to obtain forklift truck certification. Maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

The base pay for this role is $17.50-$20.00 per hour. This is a weekend shift and will receive a shift differential of 10%, resulting in an adjusted wage of $19.25-$22.00 per hour.
