Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM start

Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Shipping Clerk II to support daily shipping and receiving operations. This role requires basic shipping experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a warehouse environment. Ideal candidates have light shipping experience and are comfortable lifting materials and operating material-handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information, counts, weights, and measurements against bills of lading, invoices, and orders
• Prepare items for shipment, including labeling cartons, assembling containers, and inserting items into crates
• Pack and secure shipments using tape, nails, metal bands, or other fasteners as required
• Stamp, stencil, or apply shipping instructions and identifying information to containers
• Unpack and inspect incoming shipments; document shortages or damages and route items to appropriate departments
• Load and unload cartons, skids, and crates
• Operate a hi-lo (forklift), tier lift truck, or hand truck to move materials
• Verify outgoing shipments meet specifications
• Maintain inventory of shipping and packing supplies
• Keep the shipping and receiving area clean and organized
• Perform light cleaning and basic maintenance of company vehicles (as assigned)
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality system requirements
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
• Minimum 1 year of shipping and receiving experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of forklift (hi-lo) experience preferred
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly, 45 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally
• Work involves exposure to moving machinery and moderate noise
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience considered
