Our Rosemount facility is looking to add a Shipping/Receiving Clerk on our 2nd Shift (3PM - 3AM). ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging company with comprehensive product offerings. - Coordinate trucks for all shipments using common carriers or customer trucks.
- Set up carriers with pick-ups as needed.
- Run shipping labels (as required per the shipment planning report instructions) and put on the pallets before shipped including large labels.
- To handle shipping bills and packing slip, seals etc.
- Run daily shipping schedule to see what needs to ship that day (week).
- Run shipment planning report for each shipment and verify any special instructions.
- Scan pallets into Baan that will be shipping.
- Verify shipping sales orders in Baan, schedule through TMS, process shipments and file paperwork.
- Type shipping export papers and put with shipping documents as shipped.
- Work with customer service to obtain the best delivery service and give rate quotes.
- Determine proper storage and load out procedures if they are not stated in the contract or specifications.
- Ensure that storage and load out procedures protect the product from any damage.
- To perform incoming and final inspection when necessary.
- Keep trailer log current for incoming shipments.
- Verify incoming shipments with packing slip and sign off with approval.
- Security seal trailers as requested on the shipment planning report instructions/write seal number on BOL or packing slips then put on trailers.
- Put shipment quality checklist with every sales order.
- Ensure on time deliveries to customers when possible.
- Conduct physical inventory of finished bags and other supplies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Conformance with all plant rules for Safety and Hygiene.
- File (send) various paperwork as needed.
- Call customers, as requested, with delivery notification or to arrange appointment.
- Ensure that all packaging is correct.
- Sweep all trailers before loading.
- Load available trucks according to the shipping schedule.
- Make daily shipping schedule according to what items are done and according to sales order ship dates.
- Store bags in warehouse and keep neat and orderly.
- Ensure conveyor line is empty when finished and pallet is ready for warehouse.
- Receive materials for plant and distribute.
- Exercise good people skills with any customers/drivers that pick up and deliver.
- Ensure count and weight per box is correct from closing department.
- Mark, label and hang required number of sample bags on pallet.
- Ensure proper covering is used (poly shroud, picture frame, double pallets, etc.), as specified on production order sheets.
- Band boxes neatly and properly.
- Make picture frames so that an adequate supply is maintained.
- Scan pallet tickets from finishing department into Baan system with correct bag count and weight (from scale).
- Put labels from Baan system onto pallets.
- Ensure box pallet size is correct according to customer order as specified on production order sheets.
- Replace tape and stretch wrap on the pallet machine.
- Do inventory count of boards, stretch film, banding, shrouds, pallets and any other items as requested.
- Drive forklift and keep forklift up to regulations.
- Verify load for that day and next day.
- Have customer sign copies of packing slips and bring one (1) copy back to office, make any changes as needed and verify any changes with CSRs.
- Complete daily reports.
- 5S (AIB) organizing and cleaning.
- Keep vehicle clean and in good running condition.
- Keep sweeping logs up to date (all areas).
- Be self-motivated and confident to work with little or no supervision.
- Performs other duties as instructed by the Supervisor or Lead Person.
- Keep all machines and tools clean and in good working order.
- Follow all Plant and Safety Rules.
- Assist in Training.
Requirements:
- Ability to bend, twist and kneel.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand continuously for 2 - 3 hrs.
- Ability to perceive colors.
- Must have manual dexterity.
