Shipping & Receiving Clerk

• OBJECTIVE:
• The Shipping and Receiving Clerk monitors and records all incoming and outgoing shipments including receiving supplies and materials, notifying appropriate departments, packing and assist with coordinating sample, supplies with lab staff and shipments as per BIOQUAL's SOP, Costpoint system and procurement Shipping and Receiving Clerk monitors and records all incoming and outgoing shipments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• • HS diploma or equivalent

• Basic Competence in computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), communicate effectively verbally and in writing with attention to detail.

• Familiar with Shipping/Receiving and procurement systems.

• Certified and able to ship all biological samples

• Valid Driver's License for eligibility as company driver.

• Saf-T- Pak Certified to ship dangerous goods (must retain certification)

• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive supplies and materials and deliver orders, including arrange shipping of returns

• • Receive animal orders, create cage cards, deliver animals to Vivarium.

• Maintain computerized records of orders with received dates and end users

• Establish good relations with all delivery drivers and delivery account representatives

• Assist with inter-office courier, and coordinate 3rd party incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Maintain computerized records of orders with received dates and end users.

• Complete monthly inventories and re-order supplies as needed.

• Place necessary orders per Costpoint protocol. Work with assigned Purchasing Agent

• Escort first aid, shredding, pest control, or other applicable individuals throughout the facility while they complete their tasks as necessary

• Perform other duties as assigned
