Shipping and Receiving Clerk Description:
Duties and Requirements:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy.
Operate a sit-down forklift to safely load, unload, transport, and organize warehouse materials.
Use SAP or similar ERP and warehouse management systems to enter, update, and track inventory transactions accurately.
Organize, label, and store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations according to established procedures.
Prepare outbound shipments by verifying orders, completing shipping documentation, and ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
Perform inventory counts, reconcile stock discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory control records.
Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation using Microsoft Word and data entry systems.
Communicate with warehouse team members and supervisors to resolve inventory discrepancies and support efficient daily operations.
Follow warehouse safety guidelines, forklift operating procedures, and established material-handling practices.
Maintain an organized work area to support safe and efficient shipping and receiving operations.
Must have sit-down forklift certification and experience operating forklift equipment in a warehouse environment.
Must have SAP or comparable ERP system experience, along with strong computer and accurate data entry skills.
Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in warehouse inventory control is required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and comfortable maintaining detailed warehouse records.
Must be able to perform physical material-handling tasks associated with warehouse operations.
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, reliable attendance, and punctuality.
