Job Summary:The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting in managing customer sales orders and shipping and receiving documents and maintaining shipping and receiving appointments for internal and 3PL warehouses.Essential Functions of the Job:
Maintain daily shipping schedules for outbound loads.Enter ship only customer orders into Oracle database.Schedule dock appointments with carriers.Prepare shipping documentation according to customer requirements.Communicate release delays to Customer Service department and shipping warehouses.Review inventory levels to ensure OTIF service to customers.Review and process shipment confirmations in Oracle database.Daily scanning and attachment of completed BOLs into Oracle database.Adheres to company GMP's (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.Assist Material Coordinator with Cycle Counts as needed.Verify inventory lots on shipments, prior to releasing shipments.Loading and Unloading trailers.Operate powered vehicles.Maintain assigned work and warehouse areas at the highest possible daily sanitation level.Maintain and promote communication between all departments and management.Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.All other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School degree or equivalent.3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.3-5 years warehouse/forklift experience.Must be proficient with MS Excel.Must have a working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in a related field.Experience with Oracle.Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
Additional Considerations:
Location: This position will be at the SunOpta Plant in Allentown, PA.Shift: Monday through Friday; 9 am to 5:30 pm. Overtime as needed.Work Environment: Approximately 60% of work is performed in an office environment; 30% of work may involve being in an agricultural or manufacturing/production environment.Relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
