Shipping/Receiving & Local Driver

Pay: $20.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Shipping/Receiving & Local Driver to join a growing machine manufacturing company in Huntington Beach. This position combines warehouse responsibilities with local deliveries and pickups. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

What You'll Do

• Receive incoming materials, products, and supplies.

• Verify quantities and items against packing slips and shipping documents.

• Inspect shipments for visible damage and report discrepancies.

• Prepare, package, label, and stage outgoing orders for shipment.

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and pallet jack.

• Prepare shipping paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and shipping labels.

• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping/receiving records.

• Perform local deliveries and pickups using a company vehicle.

• Safely secure and transport materials and products during deliveries.

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers during pickups and deliveries.

• Keep the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas clean, organized, and safe.

• Follow company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.

• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.

• Previous forklift experience required; forklift certification is a plus.

• Valid California Driver's License required.

• Clean driving record/DMV record required.

• Comfortable driving a company vehicle for local deliveries and pickups.

• Basic computer skills and ability to use shipping, inventory, or warehouse systems.

• Ability to read and understand packing slips, shipping documents, and labels.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility for extended periods.

• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Comfortable working in a machine shop/manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse and machine manufacturing environment.

• Overtime may be available based on business needs.
