Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update the inventory management system as needed.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics is a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy packages and stand for extended periods.
