Essential functions

  • The Shipping/Receiving Clerk manages the flow of inbound/outbound orders as carriers arrive at the facility.
  • This position works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Leads to insure timely turn-around of carriers.
  • This role is engaged with CSC team members in managing the facility appointment schedule to manage the flow of material in and out of the sites.
  • Check in drivers into Footprint.
  • Give updated paperwork to CSC members after completing check in procedure.
  • Updating and completing all BOLs and inbound paperwork to maintain accurate inventory in the Footprint system.
  • Generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for carriers.
  • Sign drivers out.
  • Check all receiving reports and BOL’s to verify loads are completed and free of issue.
  • Check HAACP and verify it has been filled out correctly by warehouse receiver.
  • Use HAACP to add any accessorial charges.
  • Complete orders and shipments in Footprint.
  • Give CSR completed orders and shipments for reporting.
  • Update appointments as needed for both incoming and outgoing activity in Footprint.
  • Answer phone calls and call drivers with transaction updates, door assignments, and any other updates that need to be communicated.
  • Effectively correspond with Customers as required.
  • Enforce and collect any payments from drivers regarding House Conditions charges using RoadSync.
  • Report to the Customer Service Manager or anyone else that may need to know when any request deviates from the norm.
  • Assist Customer Service if needed. This could include creating, updating, processing inbounds.  Also include creating, updating and processing outbounds.  Reporting of both inbounds/outbounds by scanning to Anello.
  • Charging fees and assisting drivers in Road Sync.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Able to sit for extended periods of time (over 6 hours)
  • Able to use keyboard, mouse, office phone system

      Shift availability

      • Full-time (40hrs) Monday- Friday; shift 6:00am-2:30pm
      • This position reports to the Customer Service Manager.
