Shipping & Receiving Clerk - 2nd Shift

Penske Logistics is looking for Shipping & Receiving Clerks to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment. Responsible for shipping and receiving procedures. Responsible for ensuring that the paperwork for all shipments leaving the distribution center is complete and accurate. You will utilize various systems and frequently interact with warehouse personnel and carriers.

Work Schedule:

Monday- Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Weekends and OT as required by business needs

Compensation: $21.00 per hour + $1 shift differential = $22 per hour

Major Responsibilities:

• Processing Inbound loads and allocating outbound waves within the WMS
• Various office and administrative duties, which may include handling accounts payable/receivable and collections, payroll, fuel reconciliation, office supplies, billing, maintaining database and miscellaneous reporting
• Reporting, maintain of files, customer service interaction, resolution of pallet tracking.
• Involve Safety team as required by location
• Assist with processing Inbound and Outbound shipments on the warehouse floor
• Control the flow of work to meet departure and receiving times
• Resolve discrepancies
• Interact with warehouse associates and trouble shoot issues
• Assist with daily and weekly reports
• Jointly work with Supervisors and Management to meet warehouse metrics
• Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements
• Other projects and tasks assigned by Supervisor

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• 2 years of general office experience required

• 1 year of shipping/receiving experience preferred

• 1 year of customer service experience required

• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required

• BlueYonder experience preferred

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.

• Candidate must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
