Summary Description: Operation of forklifts and hand operated industrial lifts to move items within the facility and load/unload trucks. Cooler requires stacking boxes of products and moving items inside the facility.
Essential Job Functions/Duties:
- Stacks boxes of product, moves items inside the facility.
- Operates powered and hand operated industrial lift trucks to move items safely throughout the facility and load/unload trucks.
- Follows the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
- Physically inspects all packaging for condition and proper labeling.
- Identifies and reports any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in refrigerated, frozen, wet, or humid environments.
- Comfortable working around machinery, moving equipment, and poultry products.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ months of experiencing in a shipping/receiving role
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
