Shipping & Receiving Associate

Express Employment of Brighton is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a temporary opportunity with the potential to gain valuable experience in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment.

This is a temporary position, expected to last for

3-6 months.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Pay: $19-20/hour

Location: Howell, MI

Responsibilities

• Verify paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments
• Inspect products for quality before shipping
• Prepare orders for shipment, including boxing, palletizing, banding, and stretch wrapping
• Load and unload trucks
• Coordinate truck lines and shipments
• Prepare Bills of Lading and other shipping documentation
• Verify incoming product quality
• Assist with finished goods inventory and monthly inventory counts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and forklift operator license required
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred
• Experience with UPS and FedEx online shipping systems
• Ability to enter receiving information into Business Central software
• Strong attention to detail and paperwork accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of the facility
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift approximately 40-50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility
• Comfortable regularly operating and getting on/off a forklift
